The breakfast had good variety and the staff kept it well-stocked (I especially liked the pastries). The room was large and the bathroom felt luxurious with plenty of toiletries. The location was ideal for attending the Bloody Scotland Crime Festival, as everything was within walking distance.
The key card sometimes failed to work, and it needed to be reactivated at reception.

I appreciated the quick service at breakfast. The reception staff were efficient. The bed and pillows in my room were comfy. I also liked the great walk-in shower. It had good water pressure.

the hotel's location suited my needs. my room was a double guest room and it was quiet. the breakfast included many options and the staff was helpful.
the carpenting in some areas looked a little threadbare and needs replacing. the hotel uses a third party for parking, so i had to manage that separately. my room was quite warm, even with the fan that they provided.

i found the carpets to be very threadbare and in definite need of replacement. disabled access seemed almost nonexistent at the hotel. additionally, the hotel uses a third party for parking, and i don't understand why they do not control it directly.
